Parents with Prospects is the name of the training programme and work book which accompanies the NCFE Parenting qualification:
NCFE Entry Level 3 Certificate in Developing Skills in Effective Parenting
NCFE Level 1 Certificate in Developing Skills in Effective Parenting
NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Developing Skills in Effective Parenting
This qualification has been designed specifically with parents, partners, and step parents in mind.
The material is relevant to the lifestyles of today and reflects the challenges parents face in today's world.
Our experience from the National YMTB programme has shown us that we need to respond to comments, particularly from the parents involved and the tutors delivering the material.
The Parents with Prospects training programme is accredited as a National Partnership Award with NCFE and all organisations delivering it will need to be a NCFE approved centre.
NCFE is the UK's longest established and fastest growing awarding body. Their qualifications and awards are designed to help people fulfil their potential and realise their ambitions. The qualifications are offered by centres throughout the UK, including Further Education colleges, adult education centres, private training providers, schools and businesses.
An application to become a NCFE approved centre and to run the Effective Parenting course can be downloaded from the NCFE website.
Please contact NCFE to establish current costs to become an approved centre.

Parents with Prospects is available from NCLP as a starter pack containing the 3 mandatory units and individual additional units.

About the CourseThis course has been developed in the same way as the YMTB- Skills for Life Competence Award - through working with learners and professionals.- There are three mandatory Units
- Other Units can be on a pick n mix basis
- Most of the answers can be found in the pack
- Two Tutor Support Packs are available for the mandatory units and for the additional units.
